Procuring Cause – “Show Me the Money”

This course takes a practical look at procuring cause, professional ethics, and the responsibilities licensees have when representing clients and customers. Participants will review applicable evidentiary standards and examine NRS 645.252, with particular attention to the statutory requirement of Reasonable Skill and Care and how it applies in procuring-cause situations. Through realistic case studies, licensees will evaluate competing claims, examine agent conduct and communication, identify the actions that contributed to a transaction, and consider the ethical and professional obligations involved. Each scenario encourages participants to determine the “Most Right” course of action, strengthening their ability to recognize potential disputes, protect client interests, and make informed decisions consistent with Nevada law and professional standards.
